I can’t believe it has already been four months with my new Whirlpool Duet Laundry Set. During this four months I’ve had the opportunity to experience laundry like I never have before.
The Whirlpool brand has come so far in the last 100 years. From the old school motor-driven wringer washers to the state of the art Duet washers, the history of the Whirlpool brand is quite interesting. I’ll be the first to admit that I couldn’t have survived with a washer of the early to mid 1900’s. I have much admiration for women of those days.
The Whirlpool Duet Laundry Set has so many features and options that it would be nearly impossible to explain each and every one of them. Instead, let’s just go over the features I use the most.
- Precision Dispense: This is by far the most useful feature of the set. The Precision Dispense feature is a reservoir that holds enough detergent for up to 36 loads of laundry. You simply fill the reservoir and forget about it until your machine lets you know that the detergent is low. This feature alone saves you time, money and sanity.
- Jeans Cycle: Our family of five wears a LOT of jeans. The Whirlpool Duet Laundry Set is equipped with a Jeans Cycle that makes sure our jeans are washed and dried properly. I used to have to run our jeans on two dry cycles, but with this new set, our jeans come out dry on the first cycle saving me time and money!
- Clean Cycle: I’m sure you’ve all heard the horror stories of front-load washers getting a nasty odor. The Whirlpool Duet washer is equipped with a Clean cycle that lets you know when your washer is dirty. There is no added work for me, just simply throw in an Affresh tablet and start the Clean Washer with Affresh cycle. It’s nothing you’ll have to remember to do because the washer will simply remind you when it’s time.
I’m so honored to have been chosen to test drive the Whirlpool Duet Laundry Set. It has truly saved me time and money. What more could I ask for?

Ok, throwing in the soap and not thinking about it for a while is great, however I’m not sure any machine could make me “like” laundry LOL. We store laundry in the garage and often you can’t even find your way to the machines 🙂

we actually owned one of those ringer washers back when I was about 9 yrs old. Caught my hand once and thankfully popped open. Thank goodness they’ve upgraded washing since then. I visited whirlpool in chicago and they have a remarkable display of old appliance that is really neat to see
Theresa says
Thank goodness washer machine’s don’t look like that anymore!

I remember the old wringer washer that sat on my grandmother’s pack porch when I was a little girl. 🙂

I love the precision dispense, but the last couple of weeks, I’ve been washing using powdered detergent, and I like that too!

Can you imagine what it was like to actually ring your clothes out in one of those old machines? So good to learn about what a great product that Whirlpool makes. Thanks for the honest reports.

I do remember how wringer washer and put rubber diapers through that wringer diapers and explodes, and garments sometimes get stuck going around and around and around those wringers. I remember having to disassemble the whole wringer head to get something untangled. and I ruined a couple of shirts
Did you ever get anything caught in a wringer?or ruined a couple of shirts? Thanks for the reminders .
