I absolutely enjoy being able to help someone. I’m the lady at the grocery store just waiting for an opportunity to jump in and pay a grocery bill. And the lady at the restaurant who just randomly pays the bill for an unsuspecting family. And the lady who hands out free Pampers Diapers coupons to a frazzled mom in the diaper aisle.
Do I do these things for the attention? Absolutely not. I’m the shy girl in the corner who doesn’t want anybody to look at me. I do it because it makes my heart happy. It brings me such joy to be able to help, to be able to pay it forward, to hopefully brighten someone’s day.
Over the last several years I’ve worked with Pampers in an effort to help families in need. I love that Pampers is so giving and thoughtful and makes it easy for me to reach out to my community and offer assistance. The partnership I have with Pampers isn’t like many other brands I work with in that I don’t get a paycheck. But honestly y’all, the satisfaction I get when I see a smile spread across a face — it’s better than a paycheck.
One year I was able to surprise a family with some diapers when my children participated in a Ding Dong Diaper Ditch. They thought it was so fun to be able to drop off a gift, ring the door bell, and then speed away as fast as we could. And another year I was able to provide a new mom with the Gift of Sleep. From the crib, to sleepers, and even diapers, she was set for the first few months of baby’s life. And before that, I was able to provide 5 news moms at my church with a baby shower.
This year my daughter and I are partnering with Young Lives, an organization here in our hometown that offers assistance to teen moms. Some of these young moms come from broken homes. Some have never had a parent that showed them how valued they are. Some don’t see the future that is out there waiting for them. Although we don’t have all the details on how we are going to provide for these girls, we do know that we will be stocking their “store” full of Pampers Diapers and wipes. We’re hoping to connect with these girls and just be there for them. To offer them our time, give them a place to vent, to just help them with this new journey as mom.
Pampers truly is a critical part in making life Better for Baby (check out the #BetterforBaby hashtag to see all the awesome stuff they’re doing)! They are paving the way and making it possible for people like me to be able to give in such a huge way.
We will be meeting with the program director soon to discuss how to better serve these young moms. If you have any tips or ideas, I’m all ears. I want to do as much as we can for these girls. They deserve it.
If you haven’t already seen it, I highly encourage you to watch the new Pampers video. I cry every time I watch it. Babies truly do change the atmosphere in a room. Let’s make life better for baby. Will you join me?

I had both of my kids in my late 20’s/early 30’s and I was overwhelmed, so I can’t even imagine what teen moms go through. How great that you are helping like that.

I know every mom that’s been helped appreciates it. We all want the best for our babies, no matter how old they are. Pampers has always been a caring sort of brand. I remember saving up points from the box to “earn” a playpen.
