I’m a huge advocate of using what I have to create what I need. I love the idea of making my own cleaning supplies, my own detergent, and my own skincare products. Do I always make the things I use? No. For my busy life, that’s kind of impossible. But when I can, I do. Like with this Citrus Oat Soak. It’s perfect for some relaxing tub time.
All it takes is four ingredients to make this Citrus Oat Soak. And if you’re a fan of essential oils, you probably already have everything you need at home already.
If you’re going to use the orange slices, and I highly recommend that you do, you’ll want to get that taken care of ahead of time since it can take a while for them to dry out. Once the dried orange slices are complete, it’s as simple as putting all the ingredients into a jar.
It’s also a perfect project for the kids to be involved in making. If your kids are anything like mine, they love helping in the kitchen.

Tip: pouring this mixture into a muslin bag or a tied off cheese cloth will keep the oats all together and prevent you from having to wipe them out of the tub.Citrus Oat Soak

If you put it in a pretty jar, you could easily keep it by the bathtub in the bathroom without it looking out of place!
I’m all about being resourceful and saving money. Sure I could easily go buy something at the store, but why, when I can make something at home that is better for me and keeps some cash in my wallet.
