This DIY Paper Egg Wreath for Easter is super easy to make and looks adorable with all your other Easter decor.
I love when the season changes and the colorful signs of spring start showing up. Thankfully I live in Texas so it happens a bit earlier than in other parts of the country. As soon as the grass starts turning green again, the trees start budding, and the flowers start blooming, my decorating inside starts getting just as colorful.
With Easter just days away I wanted to make a DIY wreath for my office. It’s the last room in the house to get decorated, but with this easy DIY Paper Egg Wreath, I was able to make one to enjoy for at least a few days. This Easter wreath is easy enough for the kids to help, too!
Paper Egg Wreath Supplies
- a paper plate
- coordinating colored papers
- free printable multi-sized egg template
- pencil/pen
- scissors
- glue/glue dots
- hole punch
- coordinating ribbon (I used 3/8″)
I wanted my Paper Egg Wreath to include paper eggs of different size so I made this free printable egg template to use. This template helped me keep the different sized eggs uniform and shaped the same. I’m horrible at free hand so this template helped me a ton.
I was able to find some really great coordinating papers at my local Michaels but I know Amazon has some great choices as well. Any bright and colorful papers will work really good for an Easter wreath. You don’t necessarily need Easter-themed papers. I just used papers that I thought were colorful and looked good paired together.

Cut out the inner section of a paper plate keeping the round outer edge intact. To do this, poke a hole in the center of the plate, then use a pair of scissors to cut out the interior of the plate.
Then trace the eggs using the free printable egg template. Use these templates as a guide and trace around them on the backside of your papers. I used each size and then used them throughout the wreath. Cut out the eggs using scissors.
Using glue or glue dots place the eggs on the back of the cut paper plate. Arrange the eggs so that you get varying patterns and sizes throughout.
Next, using a hole punch, put a hole around the top edge of the paper plate.
String your ribbon through and then tie in a bow. Hang and enjoy!
Don’t forget to pin this Easter wreath to your favorite Pinterest boards so you’ll have it when you need it.
