As I sat here wondering what I wanted my first post to be several things came to mind. I decided I wanted to introduce me and my family. I know when I’m reading a blog, I want to “see” the person who is “talking”, so here we are.
Ryan and I have been married for 6 years and have 3 beautiful children. We live out in the country in the amazing state of Texas. Ryan works for a major chip manufacturing company and I’m a SAHM, well kinda. I’m the Church secretary so I’m there a little on Mondays & Fridays. We are also youth pastors at the same little Church I work at which is really close to home. In addition to being youth pastors, we are also on the Praise & Worship team. As you can tell, God is number one in our lives and we could not imagine our lives without Him. Each day brings new joys and new challenges and He’s always faithful in making sure we are taken care of.
Here is Taylor. She was born in June of 2003 and has been such a blessing in our lives. She is an amazing little girl. She has a heart full of love and she amazes me each and every day with her gentleness and tenderness.
She is in Kindergarten and doing great! She is very smart and excelling better than I expected. She started Kindergarten not knowing how to spell or read and now not even all the way through the school year she’s spelling words and reading starter books. Ryan and I used to spell key words in sentences so Taylor would not know what we were talking about and unfortunately she’s caught on. She’s too smart for her own good!
Even though she seems like an angel child, she does have her bad side. I’m not sure if its just my children or not, but attitude is running rampant around my household. It’s like a cold, everyone catches it. I’m just amazed at how much attitude can come from one little girl.
Here is Rylan. He was born in February of 2006 and we’ve been laughing ever since. This child is pure boy all the way. He’s just getting to where he is talking and we are understanding him. For the longest I was afraid he wasn’t going to speak. But now you can’t get a word in.
He is also a very loving little boy. He loves to give hugs and “shoogies”. Just out of the blue I’ll hear “Lud (love) you more mommy” and it melts my heart every time.
Little did I know when I gave birth to him, that he was a superhero. Well actually, he’s all the superheros. He loves to be He-Man most of all. He’ll get his He-Man sword, lift it above his head and as loud as he can say “I hab (have) the power”. Just perfect timing..the baby just went down for a nap..ha!
And here is the baby, Peyton. He was born in May of 2008 and I haven’t had a full nights sleep since. Aren’t they supposed to be sleeping through the night by now?!? You know mommy needs her beauty sleep.
Peyton is a special little guy. Although mommy and daddy didn’t “plan” for Peyton, God had other plans and knew exactly what He was doing when He gave us Peyton. Peyton has blessed our lives so much and every day I thank God for each and every one of my children.
We are about to have a walker. Peyton has been pulling up and “cruising” for a couple of months now, but he’s finally getting the courage to let go and try to walk. He hasn’t went too far yet, but he’s close. It won’t be long at all now.
I think Peyton is the most strong-willed of the three. Or at least it seems that way now. He has a way of getting us to do what he wants us to do. It’s called a SCREECH! I did not know a little body could produce a sound like that! WOW! I guess he’s figured it out too. If things are not going as he planned we are all startled by the SCREECH. I wonder if I can record it so I can bless you all with the horrible wonderful sound. I’ll try to work on that..ha ha!
There we are…all 5 of us. I hope I’ve given you a good look into my world and I hope you’ve enjoyed “meeting” my family.
