Spring Colors and Accessories

I’ve always been a black and brown kind of gal, but I’ve recently ventured out and started to add color to my closet.  It’s been a learning experience and frustrating at times, but I’m enjoying the bursts of color.

Right now I’m a super big fan of coral and mint.  You can also do coral and turquoise, but I like the muted color of mint.

Coral & Mint

Since my surrogacy journey has ended, my number one goal has been for me to fit into a pair of skinny jeans again. I’m not quite there yet (it’s only been 2 months) but I’m hoping in the next few weeks I’ll be able to fit in a pair like the coral above.

I’ve also been adding some sterling silver rings to my jewelry collection but I have yet to add a neutral piece such as a pearl. The more I think about it, it’s kinda silly that I don’t own any pearl pieces because you can pretty much wear them with anything.  I spend so much time wondering what colors go with what that at least the pearl would take the guess work out of it.

The one thing I am totally missing in my jewelry collection is earrings.  Ever since I can remember, I’ve been unable to wear many types earrings because they aggravate my ears.  I could wear clip on earrings but I’ve never tried them.  I guess that’s another thing I need to put on my to do list.

I think coral and mint are the perfect spring colors. They are cheery and colorful without being overly bright and loud.

Those are some cute pieces. I don’t wear earrings too often either, unless I wear real gold, earrings irritate my ears.

I’m all about color this spring/summer. I’m usually a basic black/white/brown/cream with a little splash of color from time to time, girl. But I’ve already bought a bear of orange, red, and turquoise capris. I’m going out of my comfort zone this year… since losing 27 pounds. :)

Coral & Mint are two of my favorite shades already, so I LOVE that they’re “in” this Spring because it’s making it easy for me to find stuff I like!

It’s funny how trends cycle – these were big colors 20 years ago too, my first home was decorated almost entirely in coral and mint LOL. I don’t have certain colors I gravitate toward really, I am just glad when I can wear “white” again especially capris and skirts….not yet here though, we still had snow falling this morning..sigh…

I need to spice it up this spring!

I am usually not one for fashion trends but I absolutely adore both the coral and mint color trends. I purchased cute tops in each color and really want to pick up some polish to match.
