I just love the way these turned out.

Plus, it’s just another easy recipe for moms like us that don’t have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen!

So, lets get to it.

Take that box of Twinkies and turn them into Valentine's Twinkies on a Stick! So festive and perfect for Valentine's Day!
Recipe type: Dessert
Serves: 10
  • disposable piping bag -or- plastic sandwich baggies
  • treat bags
  1. Line a large baking sheet with wax paper or parchment paper. Unwrap Twinkies and lay on prepared baking sheet.
  2. In a small bowl, melt the white candy melts according to the package instructions. Once melted and smooth, dip a lollipop stick into the white candy melt about a third of the way and insert into the end of a Twinkies and return to baking sheet. Repeat for remaining Twinkies. Place in refrigerator for about 10 minutes to harden.
  3. Meanwhile, melt pink and red candy melts in separate bowls. If any of the melts harden, you can easily melt it again in the microwave. Transfer melted candy melts into separate disposable piping bags or plastic sandwich bags. Since plastic sandwich baggies are cheaper, I usually go that route.
  4. Remove the Twinkies from the refrigerator. Clip the end of one corner of a sandwich bag and begin coating the Twinkies in a back and forth motion. Repeat with the remaining candy melts. If you're going to use sprinkles, do so before the candy sets.
  5. Place the Twinkies back into the refrigerator for a few minutes so that the candy can set. Remove from refrigerator once candy is set. If you want, you can insert the Valentine's Twinkies on a Stick into a clear snack bag and tie with twine or ribbon.

Bam! And there you have it — Valetine’s Twinkies on a Stick!

If your children like to get in the kitchen and help, this is the perfect opportunity for them, especially if you don’t care about perfectly drizzled candy melt. Give them each a Twinkie of their own and let them go to town with the candy melt.

And if they happen to drizzle a bit too much, you should still have some left in the bag since the recipe only called for a cup! See how I did that? Always thinking ahead {wink}!

The hard part comes in making sure they don’t eat them all in one setting. But if you have a bunch of kids living on your street, you just pass them out as after school treats, as long as their parents don’t mind. Then all the kids in the neighborhood love you because you always pass out such yummy treats!
