Eyeball Slime
But lets get back to this gory Eyeball Slime, y’all. With just 5 ingredients you can make this Eyeball Slime for hours of fun sensory play.
This Eyeball Slime kind of just happened after I made some Blood Slime. I had these little foam eyeballs laying around and I thought they would make the perfect addition to Blood Slime to make this Eyeball Slime.
If you’ve made slime before, you’ll find that this Eyeball Slime recipe is a traditional slime recipe with liquid starch, only I added a little bit of water to thin it out some. The only difference in this Eyeball Slime and the Blood Slime is the addition of the foam eyeballs.
If you’ve never made slime before, you and your children are in for a treat. Slime is so much fun to make and it’s great bonding time with your children.
Making Eyeball Slime
If you are making slime with younger children that put everything in their mouths, please watch them carefully when making Eyeball Slime. It does contain liquid starch and should not be put in the mouth. If you want a safer alternative, this Edible Marshmallow Slime might be a better option for younger children.
Tip: When making any type of slime it can get messy really quickly. I recommend wearing clothes that you don’t mind throwing away if necessary.

When making slime it’s best to have all your ingredients measured out ahead of time. I like to have all my ingredients portioned out in small glass bowls.
To start making Eyeball Slime, you’ll need to pour the glue and water into a stain-proof bowl and stir to combine. I like to use a glass bowl, but feel free to use whatever you have on hand.
Then, add in the food coloring and stir to combine. Add as much food coloring as you want to achieve your desired color. There’s really no wrong or right amount here. I used about 3 drops of red Wilton Color Right food coloring.
Next, start adding liquid starch to the mixture a tablespoon at a time, stirring well between additions.
Once you notice the slime forming and sticking together, remove from bowl and knead with your hands. At first the Halloween Eyeball Slime will be VERY sticky. Keep kneading. If it’s just too sticky, add a little more liquid starch in small increments until it easily pulls away from your hands.
Once the slime has reached your desired consistency add in the eyeballs and incorporate them into the slime by playing with it.
The thing you really to need to remember when making slime is that it isn’t an exact science. Amounts may differ depending on the brand of product you’re using. I’ve found that the best glue for making slime is Elmer’s. I tried some of the cheaper options and it just didn’t come together right.
Sometimes the gallon of glue is hard to find in stores, but it’s always been available on Amazon when I’ve needed to purchase another gallon. If you plan on making a lot of different slimes, the gallon is the way to go since it will save your some cash in the long run.
