Just steps away from Old Town, Kissimmee welcomed a brand new attraction last fall. The Chocolate Kingdom Factory Adventure Tour provides a tour where you can not only learn about the history of chocolate, but load up on sweet treats too!
The Chocolate Kingdom Adventure Tour is a fun, interactive journey lead by a personal tour guide. The journey begins by watching a short video introducing a handsome Prince and his Dragon sidekick as they scramble to come up with the perfect chocolate gift for the Chocolate Princess, Chocolina.
During your Chocolate Kingdom Factory Adventure Tour, your guide – along with help from the Prince and his dragon – will lead you through the Cacao Tree Greenhouse and a one-of-a-kind Chocolate Museum, where you will learn how the ancient tribes of Central and South America first discovered how to process seeds from the Cacao tree into what we now call “chocolate.”
As you wind your way through a Mystical River of Chocolate, your Chocolate Kingdom Factory Adventure Tour guide will explain how Europeans came into contact with chocolate and later developed the first milk chocolate.
You’ll taste samples of candied cocoa beans, drink a small cup of chocolate drink similar to the very first chocolate, and once you reach the Bean-to-the-Bar Factory, you’ll see exactly how old world machinery worked to producing chocolate.
Of course, you will have a taste of the finished product too!
At the end of your Chocolate Kingdom Factory Adventure Tour, you’ll have the opportunity to create your very own customized chocolate bar for $5.00, or you can purchase individual chocolate treats from the display in the front of the Chocolate Kingdom store.
I purchased a few treats to take home and my daughter loved the chocolate covered s’mores!
