I was recently given the opportunity to try iolo technologies System Mechanic. When I was first contacted about trying it I was hesitant because quite frankly I know nothing about what goes on “behind the scenes” you could say. I can find my way around the internet and such but when I actually have to go into the “brains” of the computer, I like to delegate that task.
System Mechanic is a tune-up software for your PC and provides you will all the tools you need to make your computer run like new again. It is designed to keep your PC running fast, safe and error-free. It includes over 40 tools and 200+ critical tests to keep your computer running smoothly. And the best part, no expert needed! Anyone can use this software.
Here is a little background on iolo technologies:
iolo technologies, LLC (www.iolo.com) produces award-winning utility software that optimizes and protects computers running Windows. Formed in 1998, iolo is recognized worldwide as the market-leading provider of PC tune-up software and is best known for its award-winning System Mechanic family of products.
Since my wonderful husband just bought me a brand new laptop and he got stuck with the 3 year old Dell desktop, I decided that he needed System Mechanic more than I did. So we put it on his computer. After all of the tasks that my husband does on his computer (gaming, blogging, podcasting, audio editing) we were sure his computer needed it. In a matter of minutes, it came back and told us every single thing that was going on, what was messing up, and exactly what needed to be done to take care of the situation.
As far as the technical jargon for what System Mechanic said was wrong: 19% fragmented, 16 repairable security vulnerabilities, errors on hard drive, 498 registry problems, 4.47 GB of clutter. No wonder why the computer was running so stinking slow! After System Mechanic found all the problems and errors, it knew exactly what needed to be done to fix the computer. All of the necessary repairs and adjustments were automatically made and we were asked to restart. It was testing time now. As soon as his computer booted up my husband was like “Whoa….it’s been a long time since it started up that fast”. I’m sure you know all too well, that time is very important. As parents we don’t have time to sit around and wait for the computer to catch up with us. Since tuning up the computer with System Mechanic, my husband has noticed that when he has several windows and programs running the computer handles the load much better.
System Mechanic is a “fix it and forget it” solution. System Mechanic’s ActiveCare™ technology does all the work and fix issues automatically. ActiveCare runs only when your PC is not in use and only when repairs are needed.
