Libby's Jumbo Fruit Cups Review and Giveaway

Having young children in the house, I’m constantly looking for nutritious snacks that I can keep in the diaper bag. Libby’s has launched their new 6-ounce Jumbo Cups and they have embarked on their “Fruitification of America” mission. The fruit is grown in California and packed in sturdy, easy-to-open plastic cups. The new Jumbo Cups offer 50 percent more fruit than the 4-ounce cups that are currently on the market.

Libby’s has reached out to the consumers to see what we really want. During the focus groups, consumers said they were looking for more satisfying portions and a container that is good for people on the go. Libby’s new Jumbo Cups contain 3/4 of a cup of fruit (including liquid) and the added thickness of the Jumbo Cups make them sturdier.

You will be able to find Libby’s Jumbo Cups in stores at the beginning of September. They are packaged in 3-pack sleeves and available in four varieties: Diced Peaches, Diced Pears, Mixed Fruit and Cherry Mixed Fruit. They will have an ARV of $3.39.

We were sent 2 of each variety to review and my children loved them. The cup is so easy to open. There is a little plastic tab that is attached to the top of the cup and it is very easy to peel off. There is a metal rim around the top of the cup that keeps it sturdy making it perfect for a lunch box or backpack.

The fruit dices are the perfect size for little mouths. My one year old ate the whole cup all by himself as did my 3 year old and six year old. The serving size is great for that mid-afternoon snack that my children always ask for.
