Seagate FreeAgent Go Review and Giveaway (Closed)

Over the years I’ve heard horror stories of hard drives crashing and families losing all of their memories that were stored on their computers. Thankfully, my hard drive and computer have always been good to me. However, if in the future my computer or hard drive gives me trouble, I’ll have everything backed up on my Seagate FreeAgent Go portable storage device.

The Seagate FreeAgent Go portable storage device features a sleek, ultra-thin design that makes portable storage – stylish!  In keeping with the stylish design, it comes in 9 colors including my favorite – pink!

The Seagate FreeAgent Go is very compact measuring a little over 5″ x 3″.  If you are on the go a lot like I am and have to travel with your laptop, the FreeAgent Go travels along nicely.  Actually, it happens to be the thinnest portable drive available on the market. They are available in a range of capacities from 250GB to 1TB.

You can use your portable drive to store your photos, music, videos and any other files you have stored on your computer.  The FreeAgent Go also makes it very easy to carry your data anywhere you want and you can sync data on the portable drive with any other computer.  This is a huge plus for  me because sometimes I need to work on my husbands desktop.

When I first received my complimentary Seagate FreeAgent Go I must admit that I was nervous about using it.  I can get my way around a computer, but when it comes to messing with files and such I prefer to let the experts deal with it.  I finally decided that I would give it a try and see if I could figure it out all by myself.

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to back up all the important information on  my computer.  After opening the package, it’s as simple as connecting the FreeAgent Go to the computer and installing the hardware. Once that is done, you can specify which files and drives you want backed up on the portable drive. It’s really that easy! It did take a good amount of time to complete the backup. I’m not sure if this is normal or not since this is my first experience using a portable storage device.

I’m really happy with the Seagate FreeAgent Go! Like I mentioned before, it’s very easy to use and it serves a very important purpose. I don’t have to worry about my hard drive crashing and losing those special memories.
